Surprise Awaits!
You’re having a conversation with someone. Anyone. Anywhere. After shooting the breeze for a while, you say, “Tell me about the greatest thing that ever happened to you.” And then just listen. Everyone has a great personal story. Incredible. Shocking. Surprising. Exciting. Some bring tears. Others have us actually laughing out loud! Soak up their story. Be moved. Be inspired. Tell them how it touched you. How much you appreciate them for telling you. Save them in your mind. Collect them like precious souvenirs. Call them up when you need them. Savor them.
Then tell them your story. Tell them how you were lost and then were found. Tell them how God came into your life and how everything changed. Tell them about that moment when you finally got it. How it changed you and what happened next. How you just knew!
Trust God to help you tell your story. Jesus said… “Remember… I am with you always, to the end of the age.” You will not be alone in that moment. God’s divine presence can be with you for every syllable, nuance and tone of voice. Take a breath. Ask for God’s help. Center yourself. Tell your story. That’s it. That’s all there is to it! They tell you their story and you tell them yours.
